You have predicted that EB3-India cut of date would become June 2003. But your PD is July 2003. Usually people do not predict that way. They predict their own PD would become current pretty soon.:D

Interesting... looks like they set up some kind of automatic system ... I got an email as well for "Card production ordered" for me and my spouse a few minutes back... unfortunately it is not for GC but EAD...

What drives the decision for a bill to be considered in Congress/Senate? WHY can't we pitch SKIL or TALENT Bills as a means to separate legal immigration from the ongoing CIR debate?
If politicians are introducing these bills, they should be willing to back them up separtely instead of saying that these come into picture only if CIR fails. Or is the introduction of other bills a sign of CIR's imminent failure? Since the top IV team has the visibility with politicians, this hypocrisy should be resolvable. Please tell us why these bills cannot be taken up while CIR is pending? Isn't that what the lobbying company is supposed to help us with?
No one is prepared to jeopardize their political careers over 12 million illegal immigrants. Thought I have said in my earlier posts that we cannot alienate ourselves from the illegal issue I think we need to take the next step and start to contact the senators who have introduced and backed the SKIL, PACE and TALENT act to see if this can be pushed through senate and congress as seperate bills.
Is the core team looking in to this? There is a 99% chance of a TV crew covering this event. I just spoke with them and they are just working out the logistics. They will reach the USCIS office at around 12 PM and said that it would be great if some of us are available around that time to talk to them.

While opinions are good and welcome. My requirement is to see the exact INA language.
I have read the INA Sec 203 multiple times, I could not find the link between ebquota and ebdependents. May be I am missing it. Can some one show the exact lines in INA ?
Think about this "5 year old derivative kid" is counted in ebquota. How did the kid qualify for ebquota ? The law clearly says "to qualified immigrants who are aliens described in any of the following subparagraphs" and then goes on to say the exact qualification.
Don't take me out of context. I do want the kid to get greencard, however I am against the kid being counted in ebquota.
I am yet to get the access to ( I am a recent donor ) donor thread that refers the exact INA language. Can some other donor post the exact INA language in this thread ?

BTW, for that poster who was imagining a single line, open your eyes buddy. There are indeed two lines. Higher qualifications gets you into the shorter one. You can fret and whine all you want but you cant change the fact.
Porting PDs is a silly concept as others have pointed it out here. Its the law for now but wont be for long. Get over it.

IV core cannot "officially" endorse this... We are on our own.
As for sending flowers to Chertoff or Rice - It is good but let us stick with one person for now (Emilio). Unless you are willing to send to all three :). It will seem like there is more unity amongst us if we send more "number" of flowers.

Should we do call the sponsor of this act? The dream act supporters list the senators that are on the fence, and urge them to call and I think we need to start call the main players like Reid, Schumer, Menendez to get them behind our provisions. I came to us on H4 in 2007 and the got my H1B in 2008. I am not getting a job on H1 yet so i want to know that till when the H1B be valid as I am not genarating any salery and my consultant is not running my pay roll ?
And if the H1 goes dorment then what can be done next?
H1 would be valid/active the moment you accept employment with H1-B sponsoring employer.
Since you haven't started working and assuming you haven't accepted the offer from the
H1 sponsoring employer, YOU should be fine.
Please take advise from your company attorney.

We EB3 guys have to work together. In a couple of year you will not find a single EB2 guy here as they will have their GC's. I hope some senior member can give some guidance on how we should proceed to take up our cause.

My date will be current next month. But I got fingerprinting notice, and the appointment is on Sep 17th . Does that means will I have to wait until my FP is done to get the approval?. Please suggest me is there any way I can get my FP done prior to the scheduled date. This is my 2nd FP notice. First one was in Feb 2008.
you should be able to do a walk-in finger printing on any day, they will make you wait a bit though.

I really like this idea.... Actually if north Indians didn't rule Central government in India for such a long time (before PV Narasimha Rao), south Indians would be better off in India itself !!! Then north Indians would be citizens of USA in no time, and South Indians (in India) would have been happy about it!!!

USCIS should seperate North Indians and South Indians - We are soooo very different anyways ..... Different language - different look - different food ..... That way all of us North Indians will get our GC sooner :D
