I called there office but no clue what SKIL bill is about (Washington DC).
Can any one explain the source of this bill.
First and foremost, DO NOT CONTACT Sen. Cornyn's office.
We are privy to some information and we were told that Sen. Cornyn might introduce this to the senate today. When we say might, it means that there is a good chance he may not do so too!
And introducing just means that he will get a number assigned to it. It will NOT be debated today. The debate timeframe is decided by the majority and minority leaders Frist and Reid respectively.
We just wanted to share with you what we learned. When we learn more, we will let you guys know. For right now, all we know is in the first post.
And FYI, there are some decent provisions in this bill especially related to STEM. Also presents a solution to retrogression wherein Adjustment of Status would be possible in spite of no visa being available.

My husband also got welcome e-mail mentioning about ADIT processing but when he received his card there was no information regarding ADIT processing, should we do anything about it? We have no clue, please help!!!

Hmm, urs is a unique case, but as far as i can tell u need to have FP done, that is the process, your lawyers may be able to help, have u contacted them?
Paper filing is fine and its not slow, usually paper filers dont get FP notices.
I did contact my lawyer. They have put in a SR but that's not helping. I was hoping the EAD renewal will kick it but looks like paper based doesn't kick it..
Argh!! This waiting game seems helpless..

I mailed you the Pranayama instructor's email as a private message.
I would strongly recommend that. I was in India few months back and the person suffering from lung cancer had got cured by practicing Pranayama day in and day out for nearly 1 month. He was given 45 days time by the doctor, as the tumor had burst in one of the lungs.
But he had faith and got over the problem in a month's time. Doctors were surprised as well!
I would suggest you do that as well. At least discuss the options with him.

It means they have used 90K Visa out of 140-150K ..it means 50K visa left for next 5 month..not sure how much visa dates wlll be moved.
EB2 went to U and then because of EB1 they are available. so it could be all EB3 numbers left. In that case we can see considerable movement in EB3. If EB3 ROW becomes current or close to current next visa bulliten there might be some movement for India and china in coming months or atleast IN FY 2009.

I have a electronic mail from them with the 140 receipt Notice (as PDF)
from USCIS.. I took the LIN number from there and Queries USCIS - they says USCIS received my App on May 15th and under processing....
I took a Print out of that 140 receipt Notice and will attach with 485 Application... My approval will not come before Jan-Feb 2008.
But don't you need copy of 140 also?
Canda is not the only option.You can tell them that u r resigning.In that case u might not win but atleast he will loose everything.So might be he will ready.

Even if USCIS reverts the decision back to use Vertical spill overs, it won't change the EB3-I PD position a dime. As it didn't change with that way in the past. So, there is no use in asking USCIS to change it back to Vertical from Horizontal spill over.
As somebody mentioned earlier, they were all taken by EB3 other workers all these years, it is better to ask USCIS to give preference to EB3-I and EB3-C before giving it to EB3 Other works so that they can get better share to complement for the lost happened all these years. I can understand the EB3-I frustration. We need to analyze who got the major share all these years and ask USCIS to give them to others lost in retrogression (EB3-I, EB3-C, EB2-I, EB2-C).
Otherwise, only way to get a common ground is, recapture and dependent exception bills. We should all work for these two common bills.
It may not directly harm visa recapture or any other official IV campaigns - at least for now! But don't you think if EB3-I campaign to revert to the old way of handling the overflow succeeds at all their will be an immediate follow up, counter campaign to re-revert the decision by EB2s? I don't see an end to this fight and I don't see any winners in the long term.

I personally think GC quota has a rationale behind it. It allows for a reasonable share to go to smaller countries so that the US population maintains its diversity. Besides, near the end of the year, if the numbers are unused, they are rolled over to larger countries like India and China, thereby automatically eliminating the quota.
If the original intend was to promote diversity (whether it is in FB or EB immigration), quota should be based on ethnicity of US population ( GC holders and citizens ). Ceiling should be applicable to countries those have a high percentage of representation in US population. Does India or China constitute a majority in US population ? No way. Indians and Chinese are a minority in US population.
The concept of "diversity" by country is a racially motivated law. It does not promote diversity. In fact it limits diversity.

Sent May 31st to arrive June 1st - no receipt number yet. My laywer said it will take about 10 days to get receipt...
